The Justice Court, Las Vegas Township Clerk's Pre-Trial Services Office Is located on the 1st floor of the Clark County Detention Center: 200 Lewis Street, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89155. Office hours are 24 hours per day, seven (7) days a week.

The Las Vegas Justice Court Pre-Trial Services Office accepts bail for persons detained in the Clark County Detention Center. The Detention Center phone number is: 702-671-4528. If you need to post bail for a person detained in another facility, please contact that facility for directions.

For information regarding the posting of a bail bond (surety), contact a bail bonding company. Their numbers are listed in the phone book.

To obtain information on a Defendant held in the Detention Center, you MUST provide the Defendant's complete name, their date of birth and SSN#; their Inmate ID Number; or a Justice Court Case number(s). Without this information, the Court cannot determine the status of the Defendant.

The inmate inquiry system provides a wide range of information on an arrestee's status. Information that the system displays on in-custody inmates covers: name, arrest date, ID number, court case number, personal identifiers, charges, bail information, housing information, release status, and court information.

To post cash bail, come to the Justice Court Pre-Trial Services Office located on the 1st Floor of the Clark County Detention Center, 200 Lewis Street, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89155. The office is open 24 hours a day, seven (7) days per week. When posting cash bail, you MUST have the exact amount of the bail, as change cannot be made. Bail may also be posted using a money order or cashier's check. Payment MUST be in U. S. currency.

In general, Cash Bail can be posted from out-of State for a Defendant in the Clark County Detention Center using the following methods.

  1. SEND BAIL ELECTRONICALLY

    Sender goes to the nearest Western Union location for information on how to send the cash bail amount from out-of-State to the Justice Court's Pretrial Services Division. Payment must be for the exact amount of the bail. Western Union ensures same-day delivery of the payment.

    The Western Union Fee for this transaction is $11.95, inside the State of Nevada; and $12.95, if the call is from another State. The following information is needed to complete the transaction.

    When a customer makes their payment, they will receive a 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). This number identifies the payment and MUST be referenced in all inquiries.

Any disputes arising out of payments using the Western Union QUICK COLLECT? service, are not the responsibility of the Las Vegas Justice Court, Clark County, or any other County Departments.

  2. SEND BAIL BY OVERNIGHT MAIL

    Send an overnight mail from a US post office by paying with a CASHIERS CHECK made out to LV Justice Court for the full cash bail amount. The mailing address is: Las Vegas Justice Court, Pre-Trial Services Division, 200 Lewis Street, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89155. To receive a receipt; you MUST enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope.

    The most important item is that the name and ID# of the person in custody be on the check or money order and that it be made out to LV Justice Court for the exact amount of the bail.

  3. Contact a local Las Vegas Bail Bond company and arrange for the Bail Bond company to post the Surety (Bond) for the amount of the Bail. Sometimes it is possible to post a bond with a local bonding company in your area. Many times these bonding companies use the same insurance company and they will post for out of state bondsman.

Please contact the telephone information service for the names and phone numbers of Bail Bond companies. The Court is prohibited by statute from providing this information.

Cash bail is generally refunded to the person who posted the cash, and mailed to the address given when the bail was posted. All refund checks are processed by mail, unless a special request is submitted to pick up the refund check.

Cash Bail is retained by the Court until the Case is completed, or the Judge directs otherwise. If no complaint is Filed after 30 days, the cash bail is exonerated.

Pre-Trial Services CAN NOT determine release times for an individual whose bail has been posted.
